Mia has been full of accomplishments in the last 24 hours! Besides typing(haha) she's counted, saying "2,3,5", she's clearly sung along well to Wow! Wow! Wubbzy, and she said "all done"! Yay kid! It's like she's been waiting to get all this stuff out.
We did have a poop fiasco this morning, very early this morning. Kyle was leaving for work and Mia started to cry. I naturally assumed that it was just because she heard him moving around the house and his truck engine vibrates the walls a little too. Well, he left and I gave her a few more minutes to calm down before I got out of my toasty warm bed. No such luck, her crying got louder and more frantic. As soon as I started to get up I could smell the smell. The "I pooped all over" smell. It's a distinct stench that mothers everywhere fear. I'm making that last bit up but I knew it was bad. This was definitively Karma... at her best I might add. While I was having a blast at MNO with the girls I cursed myself by saying "Mia hasn't pooped today... haha Kyle will have to change a dirty diaper." She didn't poop all day Sunday either which I failed to realize until this moment, this incredibly stinky moment.
I opened her bedroom door and the funk hit me, like a giant pile of hot garbage and peanut butter. Gross. Mia was clearly upset and there were the telltale signs of a blowout; stains on previously clean sheets, strategecally located spots on pants, and my least favorite of all, poop up the back. Luckily I had dressed Mia in layers last night due to a dramatic temperature drop. The first layer mostly contained what would've been a much worse mess. I turned on the tub because no amount of wipes would've cleaned up this mess. I got her out of bed and into the bathroom and carefully started removing layers and depositing them into a biohazard bag(aka plastic kmart bag). Into the tub she went. Scrub, scrub, scrub! Tada!
I had high hopes, being 6:30am, that Mia would fall back into a lovely and squeaky clean sleep. Wrong. She was in bed long enough for her hair to dry into a hillarious mop. The photos don't do it justice.

It's kind of a Donald Trump/powdered wig combo thing. So funny.
